As a redhead I am naturally concerned about my skin and Big/Little reds' since we are prone to skin problems; okay not prone but we are the whitest of the white so we have to be careful. After someone close had a mole-scare, Big Red and myself decided to get some of ours checked out- just to be sure.
So here is what we learned...
- You have to get basically naked for them to do a thorough exam. So its like "okay under my fat roll here, yeah can you check that mole."
- Its the closest thing to a gynecological visit for a man.
- Our doctor lives like four houses down - and now has seen us naked.
- The white little dots I have on my stomach and legs are reverse freckles. Fun!
- The names of any type of mole, weird freckle or scaly patch of skin are so hard to pronounce that really its not worth it even trying and I think the doctors just say the names over and over to make themselves seem smart.
- The people that are worried about skin problems are usually not the ones that have problems. Well that is comforting.
So there you go. My post for my friend who is bored at work and wanted something to read about.
Yeah doctors just use big words to confuse the hell out of people or to at least scare them so they will keep coming back and hopefully pay the bills (and in my case the loans).
