My friend "The Count" told me about research that came out that said people are cutting out presents to friends and family or reducing the presents by 60% but people still plan to buy presents for their pets (not sure the source on this one). So what does that say about our society? Does it mean that our pets are held in a higher regard than our friends, siblings, parents, colleagues?

As I think about this, I think, 1.) I have really never bought my dogs a gift (besides some cute toys from the pet store when buying the essentials - like FOOD), 2.) White and Red Dog wouldn't know the difference if they got a gift and I can say for certain white dog would forget about it in 10 minutes, and 3.) just petting their heads makes them feel like a queen/king. So why do dogs need gifts? Don't call PETA on me or anything, I love my dogs, I just can't image cutting out my mom or sister to buy for my dog. Just seems strange to me.

My gift to White and Red dog is this picture on the world wide web for all to see. Merry Christmas!

  1. I am guilty of buying Christmas presents for my dogs.

This year each dog in my extended family is getting a present but the humans have decided to do a limited gift exchange.

I am crazy- I also host birthday parties for my dogs.
